Resetting WordPress blog password using CPanel

Have you lost your wordpress blog password? No worries, you can reset it using simple steps

  1. Open up Cpanel and click on PHPMyAdmin
  2. Go to the database of your blog
  3. Populate tables
  4. Go to the table wp_users and click on browse
  5. Click on the pencil (edit) icon next to the user you want to reset the password for
  6. Look for the column user_pass
  7. Remove the text and type in a new password of your choosing
  8. Under function, use the pulldown and select MD5 from the list
  9. In the lower right, press GO

And you are done !
Go and login using your new password.
