How to enable telnet in Windows7

telnet is consider to be very unsecure, therefore it is recommended to use ssh rather then telnet. However we do some time need telnet. Telnet is by default disabled in Windows7, but you can enable it if you want.

  1. Click on start
  2. Go to control panel
  3. Click “program and features
  4. Click on “Turn Windows features on or off”
  5. Check “telnet click”
  6. and click ok

Now you can run telnet command in command prompt as per your requirement.
